Structural drying means calculating the affected volume, placing enough air movement to break the still layer against wet surfaces, and pairing it with enough dehumidification to actually remove the moisture that evaporates. Then measuring, every day, whether it is working.

Three to five days covers most residential water losses. Heavily saturated hardwood, plaster, multi-level losses, and anything that sat for days before extraction take longer. We do not quote a fixed number up front because the honest answer depends on readings we have not taken yet.

Household fans move air but do nothing about the moisture that air is now carrying, so it re-condenses somewhere else in the building.
